Building Foundations: Comprehensive Learning Support
To ensure a smooth transition to secondary school and to assist students in mastering new subjects, namely History, Integrated Science, and Geography, which are often considered uneasy to F1 students due to their extensive vocabulary, the Pre-F1 Learning Support Program is organized to offer targeted academic support to selected students before the start of the new academic year. Through a variety of interactive classroom activities, students are more effectively engaged with the subject matter, while simultaneously enhancing their acquisition of fundamental English terminology associated with the aforementioned subjects.
For students who require additional academic reinforcement, following each test or examination, we organize the Study Day, which aims to provide a focused environment to consolidate subject knowledge and is dedicated to deep-dive reflection and error analysis. Under the guidance of subject teachers, students revisit challenging concepts and clarify misconceptions identified during exams. By creating a supportive space for immediate remedial feedback, we ensure that foundational gaps are addressed before moving on to new topics.
Extending Horizons: Gifted & Enrichment Programs
We are also committed to providing students with platforms to explore their passions deeply and compete at the highest levels and prepare them to be leaders and innovators of tomorrow.
Each term, our F1 to F3 students engage in the Scholarly Quest, an interdisciplinary academic competition designed to ignite intellectual curiosity. Moving beyond the standard curriculum, these challenges task students with solving complex, real-world problems that require the integration of diverse subject knowledge in order to foster a vibrant academic culture where critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration are at the forefront and to sharpen their analytical skills and develop the confidence to tackle unfamiliar academic hurdles.
Our F2 students are also invited to partake in advanced Science courses and immersive enrichment activities organized by the Ocean Park Academy. These opportunities are designed to offer students direct access to professional conservationists, diverse ecosystems, hands-on field research and animal observation to develop a practical understanding of biodiversity and ecological sustainability, aiming to inspire them to apply their analytical skills to solve real-world environmental challenges and fostering a lifelong passion for scientific inquiry.
We actively encourage our students to distinguish themselves through prestigious external courses and competitions coordinated by organizations such as the Hong Kong Academy for Gifted Education and the Chinese University of Hong Kong. These experiences allow students to benchmark their performance against the best in the city while gaining heightened self-awareness for their future growth.
