We believe that well-developed English skills are essential to learning and to life beyond school.
We strive to:
- provide students with a rich, creative, enjoyable and purposeful learning experience which suits their ability and interests,
- help students lay a solid foundation for the four English language skills (reading, writing, listening and speaking) so that they will be not only proficient but also confident in their use of English for study, work, leisure and personal enrichment, and
- instil in students a lifelong love and appreciation of the English language and other cultures through the English medium.
Features of our curriculum:
- The Extensive Reading Programme is adopted to foster students’ reading habits.
- Language Arts elements are included to allow students to appreciate the richness of the English language.
- Inter-class English competitions are organised to increase students’ vocabulary power.
- The Global Awareness Week is held annually to provide an authentic English speaking environment for students to use English confidently and to stimulate curiosity about cultures of the world.
