Our school has been granted additional funding from the Education Bureau to provide tailored educational support for non-Chinese speaking (NCS) students. We aim to encourage their active participation in diverse activities, fostering a racially friendly and inclusive campus environment.

 

Regarding pedagogy, the Chinese Language Department has implemented "pull-out" learning sessions and organized after-school Chinese learning groups. These initiatives are designed to enhance the language proficiency of NCS students as they prepare for public examinations, including the GCSE, GCE, and HKDSE.

 

To promote integration, the school provides numerous opportunities for NCS students to engage with their Chinese-speaking peers through both internal and external exchange programs. NCS students are required to join mainstream students in leadership training, extracurricular activities, and community service, such as serving as prefects or participating in flag-selling days. We also encourage involvement in external service projects. For example, last year, several NCS students served as tourists' guides at various landmarks through the Hong Kong Young Ambassador Scheme organized by the Hong Kong Tourism Board. Furthermore, the school actively arranges cultural experiences, such as the production of "Dialogues with Chinese Culture" short films and guided visits to the Hong Kong Palace Museum.
