A. Posts for Student Association
(9 F.5 students at most)

C. Posts for Clubs / Societies
(Club Committee must include the following posts and 9 students at most.)

* English Society, Chinese Society, Maths Society, and societies of subjects that belong to Subject Week of the year (3 F.5 students at most)
* Other societies, interest groups, service groups, and discipline groups (2 F.5 students at most)
* F.5 students can be the chairperson (including Head Prefect) of one student group only.
1. Clubs/ Societies (‘clubs’) include all academic groups, interest groups, service groups, uniform groups, choirs, school teams, etc.
2. It is compulsory for all F.1 to F.3 students to participate in at least one club each school year, with a maximum of two. F.4 students or above are not required to participate in any clubs. If they wish to, they can join up to two clubs.
3. For students who wish to join two clubs, they must submit an application form to the ECA Committee. Only after approval from the ECA committee can they participate in the second club.
4. Students must attend the regular activities of their clubs. If they cannot attend due to important matters, they must apply to the teacher-in-charge of the club and fill out a leave application form by lunchtime on the activity day. Those who are absent without a valid reason will have conduct points deducted and their parents will be notified. If there is still no improvement thereafter, the ECA Committee will decide whether to terminate the student from participating in the clubs. Activities attended by the student will not be listed on their transcript, and "This student is often absent from extracurricular activities" will be printed on the “ECA participation” column of the transcript. In addition, students who display improper behaviour and attitude may face disciplinary actions in accordance with school regulations.
5. Details on leave application:
5.1 If a student is unable to attend the activities due to an important matter, he/she must apply to the teacher-in-charge of the club and fill out a leave application form signed by a parent or guardian before lunchtime on the activity day and submit it to the teacher-in-charge of the club for approval. If the reasons are not sufficient, the school will not approve the leave.
5.2 If a student is absent from school and the activity due to illness, he/she must submit a leave application form signed by the parent or guardian to the teacher-in-charge of the club the following school day, along with an explanation of the illness.
5.3 If a student fails to follow the proper procedures for taking leave, he/she will be deemed to be absent without excuse.
6. Students are not allowed to transfer or withdraw from the clubs without permission from the school.
7. The Activity Day takes place from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm every Friday.
8. On Activity Day, classrooms are reserved and used by each club to hold meetings.
9. If students need to attend detention classes or supplementary classes, they must attend the class meeting prior to those classes.
